Coming from PAX… am I supposed to rip the TM2 this hard?

Just got my Tinymight 2 and I’m coming from a PAX, so maybe my draw technique is just completely wrong for convection lol. I started around 5 in on-demand mode, held the button after the vibration and took slow, gentle draws like I normally would with the PAX… basically zero vapor. Even cranking it higher didn’t seem to do much.

Then I tried pulling way harder/faster and suddenly it actually started producing vapor. Is that normal with the TM2? Do you guys generally take pretty strong draws rather than slow sips, or am I compensating for something else like packing/grind/calibration? Or maybe my unit is faulty?

Update: Thanks so much guys. I tried what you all suggested and holy shit it works. It absolutely smacked me.

First RW pair, huge disappointment

Yesterday I got my first pair of Red Wing 875 Oro Legacy boots. I’ve wanted a pair since 2017 and finally pulled the trigger.

Sizing was my main concern, but I was able to try them on in store. I’m usually a size 42 / US 9, but I went with a 41 / US 8. They feel fitted in the front, with about 1 cm of heel slip.

I wore them yesterday for about an hour with regular socks, and today I’ve had them on for 4–5 hours. In fact, I’m still wearing them now while walking around.

I’d heard and read so many horror stories about the break-in process that I was fully expecting to go through hell. But honestly? So far, this has been a massive letdown.

Where’s the pain? The blisters? The blood and tears? Big disappointment.

They’re definitely stiff, and I wouldn’t call them comfortable yet, but I haven’t felt any real pain, rubbing, or discomfort after hours of walking in them. It’s like walking with leather bricks

Great boots. Love them
