The Strangest Trading Day I’ve Ever Had: +$7,500, Then -$6,000 🤯

What a strange day… 😂

Initially, I closed my account on mobile and went out for a walk. And honestly, I had absolutely no idea about the massive rally in Gold.

Came back to my desk to do some journaling, checked the account… and somehow I was +$4,500. 😳

Closed that position and then started reading about the consistency rule. That’s when I realized I needed to bring my consistency under 50%, so I figured I had to take some losses to balance things out.

Took a short position…

+ another $3,000. 🤦‍♂️

So now I’m sitting at around +$7,500 for the day.

At that point, I literally had to stop, hold my thoughts, and start again mentally. 😂

I eventually did some scalps with 2 lots and managed to give back around $6,000, which finally brought me back within the required consistency levels.

So, in the end:

+$7,500 profit → -$6,000 given back → consistency back under control.

I know this probably sounds completely backwards, but today was honestly one of the strangest trading days I've had.

The crazy part is that I wasn't even sitting at the charts when the big Gold move happened. I came back later and found myself up thousands.

Definitely a day that taught me something about both the market AND the psychology of trading under prop firm rules.

I've attached both screenshots for context.

Has anyone else ever had a day where everything went completely opposite to what you expected? Would love to hear your stories. 😅

Finally did it, I passed my Lucid Flex EVAL account today! 🎉

It took me 3 days to pass, with a few hiccups along the way, but we got there in the end.

For those who remember, I'm the same person who blew 3 accounts 13 days ago 😅. Here's my previous post:

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented on that post and shared suggestions. A lot of the advice genuinely helped me improve my approach.

I'm going to take the weekend off and start my funded journey on Monday. Before I do, I have a couple of questions for those who've already been funded:

  1. Are there any hidden rules or common mistakes I should be aware of so I don't lose the account? Or are the rules exactly the same as they were during the EVAL stage?
  2. What's the process for receiving payouts? Do I need to sign up with a third-party platform like RISE, or is there another recommended option? I'm from India, so I'd like to set everything up correctly and avoid any payout issues.

If you have any other tips for someone starting their funded account, I'd really appreciate them.

And if you guys have any questions for me about the EVAL or my experience, feel free to drop them in the comments. Thanks again! 🙏

Revenge Trading Destroyed My Eval Today🤦

Blew my eval account today.

Started the day up +$900+ and somehow ended it by blowing the account. Classic revenge trading after giving back profits.

Lessons learned:

  • Don't increase position size just because you're close to passing the eval.
  • After your 4th winning trade, call it a day. The market will still be there tomorrow.
  • Protect green days like your life depends on it, because one emotional session can erase everything.

It stings, but that's trading. Time to reset, review, and come back with better discipline.

Let's see when I can return back. Hopefully with a passed eval next time.
