PUBG taking massive momentum (+73.3% Trend on a 714k Peak)

PUBG: Battlegrounds is proving once again that it is an absolute juggernaut. A 7-day trend of +73.3% might not sound like much for a small indie game, but for PUBG, that translates to a massive 24-hour peak of 714,510 concurrent players.

Looking at the graph, the daily cyclical peaks are incredibly strong, and there was also a really sharp spike in Twitch viewership (the purple line) around May 19th.

What's driving this current surge? Did a massive new patch drop recently (like the return of a classic map), or was there a huge esports tournament going on with Twitch drops? Let me know what you guys think.

Huge Steam Sale leads to a massive +140.2% player spike for Devil May Cry 5

It looks like the current Steam Sale is doing wonders for the Devil May Cry franchise.

>It’s currently seeing a 7-day trend of +140.2%, with the 24-hour peak jumping to 3,820 players.

The graph clearly shows the momentum picking up on May 11th, coinciding with the deep discounts. It’s always great to see a masterpiece like DMC5 getting some fresh blood.

Are you guys double-dipping on a different platform or finally picking it up for the first time? For this price, it’s basically a steal.

I built a Prediction Market for Steam games: Become the "Top Prophet" on isitdead.app! 📈🎮

Hey everyone,

I’ve just added a new feature to my web app, isitdead.app, that puts your gaming expertise to the test. Instead of just checking player counts, you can now master the market with PulsePoints (PP).

https://preview.redd.it/q1rtbk00mu0h1.png?width=2816&format=png&auto=webp&s=fbbb306bbf5a00b0bfea69e1e192d6fb9c4e6999

How it works:

  • Predict the Trend: Choose Call if you think a game’s peak player count will rise by next Monday, or Put if you think it’s headed for a dip.
  • Pick Your Leverage: Go with 2x Standard (Double or nothing) or high-risk 5x Turbo (5% playerbase raising) to amplify your results.
  • Weekly Resets: All positions are reset every Monday at 0:00 UTC.
  • Daily Rewards: Get 200 free PulsePoints just for logging in every day.
  • The Leaderboard: Compete against others to join the Elite Prophets and show the world who truly understands the Steam market.

Each entry costs 100 PulsePoints. It’s a completely free-to-play community project designed to add a competitive layer to Steam statistics.

Which game are you currently bullish on, and which one do you think is "dead"? Let me know what you think of the tool!

Valve's abandoned card game Artifact let playerbase spike up to almost 3,500 Players out of nowhere

Here is a really weird one. Valve's long-forgotten card game Artifact is suddenly seeing a massive surge. The 7-day trend is up by +253.8%, pushing the 24-hour peak to 3,446 players completely out of nowhere.

Looking at the graph, the baseline player count is usually virtually non-existent before hitting these sharp, sudden spikes. What makes this so baffling is that development stopped three years ago. There are no new updates, no sales (it's free to play), and the Twitch category is mostly just people illegally streaming TV shows like Spongebob.

Some gaming news outlets are already pointing out that this is likely a massive bot wave, especially since the activity seems to be focused on "Artifact Classic" rather than the newer "Foundry" version. But since there aren't even Steam trading cards to farm for profit, what exactly is the point here? Why would someone bot Artifact in 2024? Let me know your theories.

Looks like Conan Exiles is having a huge resurgence right now. The 7-day trend is up by nearly 270%, pushing the 24-hour peak to over 32,000 players and bringing in a lot of Twitch viewers as well.

Looking at the graph, the player count was pretty standard and flatlined before hitting a massive, sudden spike around May 4th/5th. Did a major new "Age" update drop, or did a huge streamer pick the game up again? Let me know what you guys think.
