I'm putting together a mage build and I'm planning to get the Hex Mage, Rune Sage and Cabal Hermit breakthroughs.

The problem is I don't have any breakthrough points left for Philosopher, so I won't have the mana regen from Leyline Connection. I don't want to be constantly running out of mana during boss fights.

For those of you running mage builds without Philosopher, how do you deal with mana management?

I want a build that lets me attack really fast and steal health so I don't have to worry about getting killed.

I'd like to know which masters, breakthroughs, and gear to use in the mid-to-late game to achieve something like that.
