And it's not a particularly exciting page! Just filler! A short one this time around, fortunately only took a little over one hour to make. Not too fussed over quality, after all Stripes is wearing a lot of details now, which is rough having to redraw over and over.

I worked like mad for this one. I did not predict it would have taken as long as it did. But I felt it was time to get back into the action given that the last page ended with a sort of "end of chapter", allowing me to start wherever I wanted.

I'm hoping that the whole "sad vet/kid needing figuring out" dialogue can take a rest now so I can get into the action of things again!

And for the one user who many many pages ago felt the kid should be named 'Lucky', congrats, I kept it in the back of my mind because I felt it fit really well.

This page only took an hour to make. Quite a record. But getting to make it took ages, didn't it? Life has been unpleasant! I've been dealing with a lot of bureaucratic nonsense. It's almost easier to just live with your problems than trying to fight to get the help you actually have the right to. So there's that!

This page took ages to make! At least four hours, eesh. Though admittedly making these panels with wider environmental shots was kind of fun!

So! Sorry I've been gone a few days. Work started again for me after my vacation and it's been tough to find energy and time to sit down and draw pages. I worry this might be the start of when my motivation might start to drop.

I've written out the script for the next few pages so that helps save some time.

And SPEAKING of saving time, this is a serious question whether this new format of dialogue is okay with you guys? I've hand-written it up until now and noticed that I -really- don't like writing out extensive amounts of dialogue by hand. I actually haven't liked doing it since I was in first grade. It takes a long time, it tends to look awful and inconsistent and also it makes my hand hurt!

So in order to save *more* time, I tried using traditional speech bubbles and typing. Does it make things better, neutral or worse? I don't like being inconsistent and I realize handwritten text adds charm.
