Why is this game awful in the Ranked mid-point range (also lineup advice)

Hi, got around 50 hours in the game practicing and doing arcade mode and it's my first ever fighter in this genre. Started playing online finally and I'm around 5k points in ranked but all I see are team comps usually comprising of the following characters:

- DLC

- Invincible

- Armor characters (Conquest, BB, sometimes Omni)

- Projectile characters (mostly Atom Eve)

and they always play the same lame strategy of fishing for hits with Invincible's lariat and spamming broken assists. My question is: Why?

I don't know why people take this game that seriously in ranked. Are there genuinely players that find this fun to do? I find it so frustrating when my opponent is mostly a button-masher with no unique combo routes just using the L-M-H-S combo route each time they land a hit off block and spamming assists and armor. I watch some more competent Invincible VS content creators (mostly Wolfenza) and I don't see this style of gameplay as much at his higher level.

Additionally, I've started to use Titan to counter Invincible players. Are there any other better characters for countering Invincible that won't require some super precise tech or skill? I know Invincible is probably the best character in the game but I also know characters like Titan and Cecil (some of my mains) are pretty good against him.

(Current lineup is Titan front, Cecil back, and Allen anchor)

I'm sick and tired of people complaining about strong killers (image not mine)

listen, I get this game and community started out in V0.1 with 2011x and a roster of survivors which were all able to easily survive 1 on 1's with him outside of ragemode, so I know that a lot of people would obviously be against any stronger EXE's to begin with since they aren't used to it

But I'm super tired of constantly seeing players ingame complaining about borderline unusable killers like Kolossos and seeing people online complain about things like ragemode, flight, etc. when survivors have abilities like "on-command 7 seconds of i-frames, stun hitbox that regenerates BetterHP™, and doubled speed" on a 25 second cooldown alongside a slew of passives and support-oriented abilities that make this game require next-level amounts of gamesense, alongside the majority of maps being so awful to play on as killers. Especially when a majority of these killers, DON'T EVEN HAVE A PROPERLY-FUNCTIONING X-FACTOR LIKE THEY'D NEED??

2011x has ragemode which, in his current state he's actually a decent killer; you'll still lose 90% of the time until you've taken the time to learn OM's hitboxes and how to optimally use each ability + at least somewhat optimal movement and knowing how to counter each survivor ability, but at least he has one

kolossos gets a block that can be interrupted, a charge that can be countered, a grab that GOES LESS DISTANCE THAN AN M1 ON DECENT PING (????? HOW), and a climb passive that can hands-down be the source of some of OM's most frustrating moments where you KNOW what you want to do, but map geometry or just the goddamn controls decide "nah, we don't need that here"

tripwire gets some bum mines that deal 30 damage (in a game where not one but TWO survivors have healing mechanics, one as a PASSIVE) which slow you down to place. this would be fine, if the mines were even worth it to land in the first place (and not just damage, but the debuff doesn't even do anything unless you are ACTIVELY CHASING a survivor that gets hit by a mine which, let's face it, ANY KILLER can do as much damage to in the time it took trip to place the mine, find a survivor, avoid their several abilities and outmaneuver them, and possibly avoid the other survivors trying to help them) alongside several abilities which are basically "free damage if you aren't interrupted lolz" as if this killer was MEANT TO FEEL braindead and autopilot in a game where strategy IS A MUST to win as a killer (I've only seen a trip win ONCE since this patch dropped. ONCE.)

and fleetway, by far the most debated killer, FINALLY GOT TWO THINGS EVERY OTHER KILLER LACKS:

- Vertical mobility better than any given survivor

- An X-factor that is universally threatening to ALL survivors

AND I SEE SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT HIM. The ONLY KILLER that can actually HUMBLE SURVIVORS using his passive because of how lenient and capable it is, SAID TO BE OVERPOWERED.

Even from day one this killer was never overpowered. I consider myself to be pretty good at fleet and I can wipe pub lobbies pretty quickly as him, but even in pubs WITHOUT ANY VOICE COMMUNICATION (to my knowledge) I can still very well lose if I'm not on my a-game. I'm so sick and tired of people treating this like it's a crime, like fleetway HAS to be bully fodder or the game is DOOMED

there was a lot fleetway had problems with early on, I get that, and he is very much so fine as he is now. But I'll play kolossos once in a blue moon and see people whining in chat that he needs a nerf, or that fleetway shouldn't be able to fly at will or that his flight is inherently overtuned just by existing.

DO WE KNOW WHAT AN X-FACTOR IS?? a part of the killer the survivors CANNOT outright nullify; one that they have to play around??

I'm just so tired of this community and its takes on balancing. I'm tired of Kolossos being nerfed. I'm tired of the many comments or people ingame I'll see who have absolutely no idea how to balance, complaining about something needing a nerf that ISN'T specifically about a survivor. I'm tired of people whining about how unfair flight is when their survivor can stop the killer from moving for over 3 seconds with the press of a button, with very little counterplay from the killer. Disabling EXE chance has ruined so many peoples' perspectives on how survivor-sided OM is

hi guys
