So I (20M) have been in a relationship with my girlfriend (19F) for a year now. We love each other, of course, but what really bothers me is that she doesn't know how to say "thank you."

For example, if I make her dinner or take her to a restaurant, and then ask if she likes it, she just answers, "As you should," or, "This is literally the bare minimum."

I have told her on multiple occasions that I feel unappreciated, but she always just shrugs me off.

Yesterday was our anniversary. I bought her a beautiful gold necklace and some flowers. I came home from work and waited for her at the door. Once she entered the house, she immediately went for the necklace. She didn't even look at me. As she was putting the necklace on, she once again said, "As you should."

Out of nowhere, I just snapped. I dropped the flowers, tore the necklace off her neck, and walked out with it.

A couple of hours later, I'm sitting on my friend's couch, and she is constantly messaging me, saying that I'm crazy and that I'm overreacting over nothing.

I don't know what to do. What do you think, Reddit? Am I wrong?
