Medical Waiver Timeline

My recruiter let me know my suitability was approved and so he submitted my medical waiver request for metal hardware in my ankle from a Jiu Jitsu injury which required surgery. I know waivers are case by case, and no one can say what my outcome will be or give an exact timeframe for the decision, but I’m wondering if anyone can provide me with a current approximate timeline for medical waivers?

Thank you.

12B/AZNG

I’m waiting on a medical waiver that my recruiter says will be approved (have hardware in my ankle from a Jiu Jitsu injury, fully functional to where I lift/workout and train/compete BJJ with no issues). Of the MOSs available in my state (AZ) I’m leaning towards 12B. I’m wondering if any 12Bs here can give insight on how the MOS is after training and back in your state during drill & AT, especially if anyone is from Arizona. Also, if anyone has any insight into how the Guard is in Arizona in general that’d be appreciated.

If anyone has any other MOSs they’d recommend I’d appreciate that as well. I got a 77 on the ASVAB, have a bachelor’s degree (was told I’m too old for OCS and that there aren’t age waivers for commissioning), former cop turned teacher.

Thank you, and I hope you’re all having a good Labor Day weekend.
