In the late 70s my grandma gave me an art book - I dunno where she dug it up from:
Figure Drawing For All It's Worth, by Andrew Loomis. This is a classy and classic instructional on drawing human forms and helped me immensely. Now you can download all of Loomis' manuals on The Internet Archive.
Anyhows - The one she gave me was published in 1943, complete, but falling apart. It was a large paper manual meant to be easily kept open, unlike hard-bound books. But since it was falling apart, I put the whole thing in a three-ring binder and it's been there ever since.
Just a couple of never answered questions: 1) Who owned this book before me? Grandma was not an artist, nor were any of her kids. 2) Who drew this sketch of Gregory Peck?
My dad ran the station theater at a very small military base for a year, and came back with this stack of lobby cards, mostly from the 60s. Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Romance, Action, Musicals ... about 150 in all, I think. I pulled some to search for on streaming, but haven't watched more than 4 or 5 yet.
