Domaine des Cavarodes – Côtes du Jura Chardonnay “Les Lumachelles” 2023

Oh boy, this one was a treat for sure! I’ve never had a wine from the Jura region, my sister in law picked this one up whilst in Jura and shared it with us today. On the nose I got fresh citrus zest, crisp green apple, limestone/mineral notes as well.

The palate was bright with acidity, leaning into like lemon peel and orchard fruit then ending with a chalky finish. It was buttery but pretty subtle.

We enjoyed this with some olives and Moroccan chicken!

Reinne’s Place

Have y’all tried Reinne’s Place? I went yesterday and this morning. I got a Flat White yesterday that tasted crisp and bold. Truly, a fire ass flat white.

Today I got the Honey Cinnamon and it was NOT overly sweet. I’m not a fan of milky sweet coffees I prefer black or milk + espresso with no sweetness. Yet, this drink was sensational! My SIL got the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha and damn… it’s not just looks, a beautiful balance of flavor and matcha that’s not over bearing.
