when can i shower properly

I got my nexplanon last wednesday and have taken off the large white wrap, have been changing the large waterproof bandage whenever it gets wet from my showers (not soaking wet) and not touching the steristrips at all. All my showers i have been wrapping my arm and keeping it out of water but im wondering when i can finally shower normally???

Question

I got my nexplanon a couple days ago and I was on my period. My period is usually heavy throughout all 7 days but I noticed that my period has gotten noticeably lighter? Is this normal? Not that im complaining about it being very light but I was just wondering if it effects that quickly?

When can i shower?

Probably a dumb question haha. I just got mine a couple hours ago and was wondering when its okay to actually shower. Im thinking of just keeping my arm out to avoid it getting wet or putting saran wrap/bag over it.

Late for 6 days

I had my last period on July 5th. I am now late by 6 days… Im kinda scared of pregnancy. I took a test, all negative. When the intercourse did happen we were protected. After the intercourse, around a week after, I had also changed my BC. I went off of the mini pill as it was causing irregular bleeding. Im actually not even sure if the period I had on july 5 was a true period as i bled for days after the 7th day. (FYI i took a plan B in May). Im also very stressed right now as I am moving, starting a new job, and am stressed about moving. Ive had increased appetite and sore breasts. I also had major cramping today and thought my period was coming, but no sign. I feel like theres a ton of factors here and the pregnancy risk is low, ive taken so many tests (all kinds). Im just kinda freaking out.

Does birth control actually make you gain weight?

TLDR; is there a birth control method (IUD, pill, mini pill, arm implant, shot) that actually CAUSES the weight gain itself, not due to side effects of increased appetite.

Are there any studies that actually show that a specific birth control method itself CAUSES weight gain? Or is it just the side effects (i.e: increased appetite) that make you gain weight? Im asking because I will often hear alot of people say a certain birth control made them gain weight, but I feel like this can deter people from choosing a method that would be best for them out of fear (my own experience).

When is my first payday?

At my store we get paid every Saturday. I started this past Tuesday (orientation) (7/21) and set up my direct deposit then, and was able to clock in/out. Im confused because usually my bank gives me advanced notice when funds are coming through but I have recieved nothing. I worked 30 hours for that week.
