File anonymous complaint against dog owners

Hi everyone,

There is a small room with a channel gate right beside the road where the family has locked a fully grown German shepherd. It is chained and the room is not even the size of a double bed (for reference). It has a broken blue can (the big one) with water and dry food in its bowl but the problem is that dog is depressed and suffering. It has been months since I have been seeing it and my heart breaks everytime.

German shepherds are outdoor dogs. They need to stay active. I have never seen any person in that house. There is a lock om the gate and the door which leads to the house.

I want to file an anonymous complaint, rather, call someone to help the dog. It has become aggressive due to solitude.

This is in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. Being a small town, there aren't any animal help ngos here that I know of. If I reach out to Peta, will they help? Is there any other way I can file an online complaint?

Local China Group Tours for solo traveler

Hi everyone!

My mom (Age-56) is planning to go to China, specifically Shanghai,Guangzhou, Zhangjiajie and chongqing from New Delhi, India. She wants to book the tickets on her own but wants to join a local group tour (3 or more people) which covers all these places with all tourist attractions along with local cultural immersion.

We saw China highlights, G adventures, Intrepid travels but either their trips are too long ( approx.15 days) or they are not covering the places that she wants to visit.

If there are any local tour agencies that you are aware of, please help!

Thanks

Study permit refusal. What are the chances?

Hi everyone!

I am from india. I got my first application refused on June 18. The reason for rejection was going for a second masters when I already hold a comparable level of education.

I finished my IMBA with majors in Finance in 2025 and got employed as a research analyst in procurement.

I want to change my field and hence decided to go for masters in supply chain @ hecmontreal. In my LOE, I have tackled each and every sentence stated in ODN. I have compared the curriculum and stated how my program was a 5 year course for which I had the option of exiting after first three years with a general bba degree but that would have limited me professionally and also would have limited my chances of pursuing foreign education as many colleges outside india require a 4 year bachelor degree (specifically colleges in canada). I have also highlighted the opportunities this course would open for me and how I can transition into core supply chain from a somewhat general role I was in (market research in the life sciences sector). I mentioned gaps that could be bridged through this course along with the prestige that hec offers. And a lot more definitely.

My finances have been good. Ielts was 8. I have internships as well and 6 months of work ex at capgemini. I have also paid first year and tuition and gic as per Quebec.

Switching courses, college, or country is not an option. I just want to know if there are people who received a similar refusal but got their visas later. I reapplied on june 26th.

Some insights would definitely help! Thanks!

Second time Student visa application timeline?

Hi everyone!

I got my visa refused on June 18 and have applied for the second time on June 26 from India.

I have got accepted into masters at hec montreal for fall 2026.

Biometrics and medical done already. Processing time shows 5 weeks but some people who apply for the second time have been receiving their visas in 10-15 days.

I have tackled the reason well in my LOE. Because I have masters in another field through an integrated program, they said that it is not a clear career progression but I have related this new masters well with my work ex of 6 months in the same field.

I am worried about the timeline. My course starts August 20. If anyone has been through a similar situation, lmk!

Thanks!
