((I know I'm no artist, I just had to make at least something decent for the cover. I know I messed up Shadow! And, whilst I drew it, I have mostly edited it as my strength lays in editing and not drawing.))

After over a year I can finally present my newest fic to the public. All of the information and warnings are provided on the sites.

in... seemingly the middle of nowhere, a portal suddenly opened from the sky and out came two mobians, falling from the sky into a field that spread wide across the land.

The landing was rough, but the grass did cushion their fall just a bit.

"Ow..." the fox winced as he sat up, rubbing his head to ease the pain from the landing and the interdimensional travel he just made. But before he could really take care of himself, his eyes wondered around, trying to make sure if his girlfriend was okay.

"Cream?!" he shouted, gazing out into the open field... until he realized she was right next to him...

"I'm here Tails, don't worry." she said, blinking in confusion of what just happened. "Where... are we exactly?" the rabbit finally asked, looking around curiously.

"It... looks like Mobius to me..." the fox mumbled in response... but his tone was laced with a bit of uncertainty. Like... what if he had messed up... even one little thing about his portal? "But... something about this place seems... different for me... I don't know what it is... but at least we're out of that empire..."

"Yeah... whatever that was..."

The fox then stood up to take a closer inspection of this place. It seemed like Mobius, it looked like Mobius... but... he had this feeling in his stomach that... this wasn't the right one. Or maybe he was troubling and doubting himself about his work once more...

Countless of days and night they have spent here. The loving couple that Tails and Cream were... far away from their original home... and no one else from their world. Only variants, their "kids" and... each other.

Ever since stepping foot into this world and reuniting with his love, the fox made a promise to himself: get them out of here and back home as fast as possible.

After that, he lived mostly in isolation, trying to get anything to work for this goal. He missed his workshop and had to use scraps and some parts he found while scavenging for them outside.

And, as in classic fashion of himself, he has overdone himself many, many times throughout, getting too focused on this project of his. But... what did he have such a loving and caring girlfriend as Cream for?

Of course she was always there for him, even when he didn't seek her closeness or wanted to work alone for a bit. She made sure that he wouldn't overdo himself til burnout.

And after a long time filled with trial and error, many hugs and kisses... and the occassional break from work due to Cream using her... menacing side she has inherited from Vanilla... Tails was able to construct something.

"Just... hope this leads to our world..."

The fox was finishing the final touches of this portal, wiring together the last few wires at the base of it.

"But... it should lead there if my interdimensional coordinations are correct..."

And with one slam, Tails shut the panel at the bottom, standing up and admiring his work. His fur was covered in grease and dirt and he smelled like a pure mechanic's shop... but it was worth it in the end.

Then, two arms suddenly wrapped around his waist from behind, startling him. But it was just Cream, hugging him from behind and pressing a soft kiss onto his dirty cheek.

"You did so well..." she mumbled, gazing at the portal over his shoulder.

"I just... hope it works out the way I imagine it to do..." the fox said in response, his voice quiet and unsure.

"I'm sure it leads to where we want it to go."

"And... what about the people we met here? What about that other Tails? What about the kids...?"

"They... will understand." Cream spoke in her gentle way, placing a reassuring hand n his shoulder before taking him into a hug. "Tails knows what he is doing and... the kids are so smart and... easily capable of living by themselves. And... they have each other."

Tails set down his wrench and there was only one more thing to do: step through it. His eyes were locked onto the portal while his right hand searched for Cream's left one. She only giggled as she saw that he wasn't able to find it by looking away and grabbed his one in hers, interlocking their fingers.

But... as Tails imagined it to be... the portal got unstable quickly. It began to flicker slowly, with only a small time frame being open for them to move through...

"You ready?" she asked with a reassuring smile.

The fox hesitated, taking a deep breath before... "I'm ready..."

And then the two took off, running towards the portal before jumping through it, both at the same time.

The portal closed and... no trace of the two was left behind... they were gone...

I'm keeping it short.

Yes, this is my goodbye post to this sub.

Now, you may have seen my older post where I had two reasons why I stayed. One was because I had canon Tails claimed. But honestly... what is this claim worth if I never really used it effectively? I am too inactive on this sub for having a canon character claimed.

Second reason is because I had another Tails variant claimed which pretty much relys on another person playing another character from that timeline. And since me and Jas have asked for perms for them in other subs, there's no reason for me to continue it here.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't hate y'all... far from that honestly. I have met many really cool and nice people here but... the way this sub is built... it's honestly just not my way to rp. "Speed-rp" is just not my thing. And, since I can't keep up with the stuff happening in here and barely being active... this is for the better.

So, canon Tails is open for claims now! And my other Tails will receive one last post maybe tomorrow or a bit later idk.

I will miss you, but with what I was able to participate for this sub... I just didn't use Tails for what he was worht.

Just know, the reason why Sonic didn't get reminded of Nine is... I just haven't watched Sonic Prime the time I wrote this. I knew how Nine looked, but not much more, so I just took that idea.

Plus... let's just pretend Sonic Prime didn't happen in this story :)
