Intermediate $50 dynasty 12tm SF PPR TEP startup - seeking owners

I'm looking to start a dynasty league for people who aren't already in a ton of leagues. There's so many people who are in dozens/hundreds of leagues, and when you're spread that thin, it's hard to stay invested/involved in all of them. My goal is a league with an active group chat, a deeper level of engagement, and a group of owners that will stick around for the long haul. If that sounds like something you're interested in, read on.

The league format will be start 10 (QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, 2 flex, 1 superflex) with 13 bench slots, 2 taxi, and 2 IR (maximum of 27 in total). 5-pt passing TDs to balance out scoring a bit. No kickers or defense. Housed on Sleeper.

Payments done through LeagueSafe (with majority approval). Two years due up front, and then pre-pay for the next year on a rolling basis. So in 2027, you'll pay for 2028, etc. If you leave, you can find someone to take over for you, or forfeit the next year's payment. Again, trying to get people who intend to stick around. Payouts will be 350/175/75 for 1st/2nd/3rd.

Startup draft will (likely) be a slow-live, 3RR draft. We'll do all the fun randomization stuff for the draft order.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, please let me know and I'll send you the link to the league. I expect it'll take a while to fill the league since we're being choosy, so please be patient. We want the right group of owners, not just the quickest group of owners.

Thanks!

Dynasty Startup format - 3RR or Hybrid Auction?

Hey everyone, I'm looking to start a new dynasty SF league with random people, and trying to determine the best format for the initial draft. In leagues with friends, we've successfully used a hybrid auction format where we do a mini auction for the first 7 roster slots, and then revert to a normal snake draft for the remainder of the rosters.

I'm trying to decide if I should stick with that format, or just do a simple 3RR draft for the whole thing. The main factors I want to consider are:

- What will ensure owner retention for multiple years (i.e. No team too strong/weak that people just leave the league)

- Creating enough interest in the league that I can have plenty of people interested in joining in the first place

- Relative fairness. Meaning, everyone has a chance at Josh Allen, Bijan, etc.

Any input from this group would be appreciated! Thanks!

Best dynasty platform for teenagers

My 13yo son, who is heavily into Fantasy Football, has been bugging me for a while to download Sleeper. I told him that, between the nonstop gambling that Sleeper pushes down our throats, and perhaps the most toxic 10% of the online dynasty community, I didn't want him on that app. It appears Sleeper requires users to be 18+ anyway, which I know can be circumvented (but that's not what I'm trying to do here) As a compromise, I told him I'd try to find an alternative for him to play dynasty, with a bunch of randoms, in a relatively stable environment/app.

Fact is, prior to this season, I've only ever used the Sleeper app, in a league with friends of mine. I'm familiar with the names of MFL and those other platforms that show up on the league sync pages on KTC. But I don't know the culture of those apps.

Any suggestions for which app/site would be the best for all of this? It's gotta be dynasty-specific, is my only requirement. And, yes, we've already agreed that I get to read through all league & 1:1 chats.

Thanks!

(Mods - I hope this is an okay topic. I read through all the sub's rules and I think this topic fits under the flair tag, but please let me know if it doesn't belong here and I'll gladly remove.)
