It’s my first time posting here so forgive me if I am doing this wrong!

I (22F) went on a date with a guy (22M) recently. It was a fancy restaurant that he chose (the bill came to about $300 each) and we are both phd students.

So, when it was time to pay, I insisted on paying for my half. It was just the second date and he had paid for both of us on the first coffee date. He pushed back a few times but I was insistent and he didn’t make a scene and let me pay.

Now, the next day, we are talking and he says last night I had made him feel “less of a man” and that I was “flexing” on him by showing off my “wealth”. Apparently, I had made him feel emasculated and made him conscious of the “class difference”. I just wanted to pay my half since it was a hefty bill and we are both students.

My friend (23F) says it was kinda asshole-ish of me to pull out my amex platinum card on a date and since he was insisting, I should have let him pay.

AITA?

I completed the base game in December, research level 50 and stuff.

For context: I liked grinding in the base game, and found the story to be charming. Loved random exploration the most tho. Then I got swamped with work at college and didn’t get the chance to play the DLC.

Is it worth buying?

Tried to open it this morning, didn’t work. It’s still not working. Anyone else?
