One of the coolest places in Colorado is a simple payphone in the mountains. Not in a mountain town, in the mountains. And it still works!

Tennessee is sending aid to Colorado wildfire. Please pass along our gratitude.

I'm not sure what agency in particular is sending assistance, but in the most recent press conference for the Aspen Acres fire -- now nearly 40,000 acres and imminently threatening multiple towns -- it was mentioned multiple times that you guys were sending assistance.

Thank you. <3

The Cherokee Interagency Hotshot Crew is the name of the folks that have been sent out west.

Children's Hospital is anticipating a platelet shortage going into the holiday weekend. If able, please consider donating.

Donating blood and platelets has got to be the easiest way of serving your community. You sit and watch TikToks and reddit for a bit and then you get snacks when you're done. Children's even uses warmed squeezie things and their seats are so comfortable, they make the process quite nice.

Smokey the Bear asks us all to do our part to prevent wildfires. The sign looks older than the fire (Oak Creek Fire, June/July 2024)

It takes a hot minute for a driveway to look this overgrown. This home is all that's left of the town of Manoa, a supply town for the many mines in the area. Built in the 20s by Charles Herman who quarried granite nearby, the view in the second pic is what you'd see from the home / town.
