I am writing a story where I deliberately do not mention the ethnicity of my mmc until well into it. Other descriptors like build, nationality, background, past are all there. Would that be frustrating for the reader? I'm a tiny bit doing it because I'm a gremlin and want people to "check" their biases as well.

I'm not doing the best as a writer so was hoping to find stuff to read. I am looking for light hearted, fun, comical stuff about day to day living, slice of life type thing. Mostly general fiction or contemporary fiction. I like real world settings. If the main characters are older in their 30s or 40s that is even better.
