If the Devils value Robertson and he would like to sign an extension with the Devils, I think the trade package presented above would be satisfactory for Dallas but slightly rich for the Devils although we did just acquire 2 first round picks in the Nemec trade. We would need to move out cap space anyway to sign him and these are 2 useful players Dallas would like plus you add in 2 1st round picks and this pretty much lines up with the offer sheet value of 4 1st round picks. I think the Devils need to gamble a little and take a shot at a premium goal scorer like this to start our 5 year contention window now.
