I love vector graphics, why is this unpopular?

I really like Vector graphics, both as a designer and as a consumer. I'm not that good of an artist in general, but i find that i have the best success making stuff look good in vector graphics... Which is interesting given that it seems like pixel art has that reputation. I used to do more pixel art but after trying vector, it became very very clear to me that vector graphics are easier to pull off and have more of a "designer" feel to them whereas pixel art feels more... idk "painterly" i guess?

I also really love pixel art games, but I'd like to see more games in the indie space go vector art. There are so many great freaking pixel art games with amazing art, but i find that every time i see an indie game with vector art that honestly looks quite good, the comments say that it looks like a mobile game. I don't get that either.

Personally I wonder if it has to do with people's expectations of flash, but idk about you, i quite like the flash aesthetic..

Has anyone else’s eyes been burning?

For the last two days my eyes have felt like I’ve put hot sauce in them and will not stop burning. I have bad seasonal allergies, normally but this is crazy. Today they literally hurt as I woke up.

Edit: hey yall it’s getting better slowly throughout the day. Still burny, but improved.
