I just finished the main story with Zoku Owarimonogatari. I have my own Tier List of the seasons, and I wonder how similiar is it to the fandoms general opinion. What is the general ranking of seasons among the fans?
My ranking is, Owari S2 > Bake > Owari S1 > Zoku > Second Season > Kizu Triology > Nise > Tsuki > Hana > Neko
İMPORTANT: İf Subaru = Frugel
Flugel created the Witch Factors, gave the Sloth Factor to Geuse, and despite knowing that the Witch of Envy would slaughter millions, he insisted on doing exactly what Flugel did back when he himself was Subaru, driving Satella down this tragic path. All of this caused catastrophic disasters worldwide over the next 400 years and turned the Witch Cult into a public enemy. He could have prevented all of this; using his knowledge of the future alongside his incredibly powerful allies, he could have defeated Pandora. Yet, he chose not to intervene.
This gives us a massive spoiler for Arc 12. According to this, Last time Subaru was in the future, in the battle against Pandora, Subaru becomes so overwhelmingly favored that his defeat seems utterly impossible. However, at the very last second, Pandora makes a desperate move and defeats Subaru—or at least traps him in an inescapable situation. Subaru, after going back to the past, believes that everything must play out exactly the same way it did during his own time as Subaru in the future. Every Flugel's hope is that the Subaru in the next loop will defeat Pandora, maintaining that absolute dominance. (He believes that being defeated in that state was a one-in-a-thousand fluke; normally, Pandora would have been completely finished). He thinks that he can never reach that pinnacle of advantage in any other timeline.
Our Natsuki Subaru, however, defies this system and breaks the loop. He purifies the Witch Factors so they can never be corrupted, seals the Envy Factor, and defeats Pandora using his knowledge of the future. By doing so, he achieves what none of the others ever could.
