I got an i-7 3770K with a ASUS P8Z77-I motherboard.

Are these not compatible with XP?

I've narrowed it down to Motherboard or CPU for the reason it wont post

I put in the hard drive I got from a windows xp computer and put it into an old dell optiplex.

When I turn it on I get to where it shows Windows XP with the loading bar then it goes blue with 0x7B error code.

I’ve switched bios to legacy mode and from RAID to ACHI and still get the error code.

I am currently building a Windows XP gaming computer and my graphics card has DVI-I and HDMI on it and plan on getting an old CRT monitor in future.

Is it best to get a DVI-I or HDMI to VGA adapter for better quality?
