So, this is a six part limited series. Episode 5 storyline seems so far away from Niall being wed to Alby. And given the episode 5 ending, we can assume Ruben is going back to prison. Which means the only way we can get such time jump is if Ruben went to prison and everything else that happened in-between happened while he was in there.

So then the one big thing that could have led to the big fatal fight in the barn at the wedding is that Ruben found out that Niall fúćked his wife, and that he kìlled the wrong man. Especially since he said "someone changed her" just before he stormed off to kìll Benji. If he found out that someone was Niall, and not Benji, then that's what would have caused him to go beat Niall at the wedding.
