I’ve been rewatching the Modcon finale video for ATE: Southern Land and spotted this treasure.

I’ve been rewatching the Modcon finale video for ATE: Southern Land and spotted this treasure.

It appears Māoris will be able to carry out something akin to a Varangian adventure in the base game.

This should mix things up on Australia as well as New Zealand in the mod. Roll on Dominion Day!

Advice needed please on gameplay in Brazilian Hegemony

I have carved out the Empire of Nordeste. It is a Feudal Empire.

As I united my Empire the Paulista Empire re-created the Hegemony of Brazil.

  1. Should I adopt Imperial Bureaucracy Government? What are the upsides and downsides?

  2. Should I voluntarily become a Vassal of the Hegemony of Brazil? What are the upsides and downsides?

The Long Week of 22 is a brilliant event chain

I’ve played adjacent to Brazil or far from it since the mod update and whenever I checked in I was confused at how Candoble and Apostolic had collapsed and the diversity of Modernist Faiths.

Now I’ve played in the Undaunted Colossus and I just wanted to say: “well done on such good writing!”

Infinitely better than the Calvert Appeal.

I LOVE the colour coding of Religions in the recent update.

It makes it a lot easier to see adjacent Faith but also makes what are irl
current Christian denominations seem much more like very very distant cousins given the passage of time and doctrinal drift.
The game makes the future difference in Protestant and Catholic Faiths feel as big a gulf as current Christianity and Islam or Judaism irl

The thing I love about the game is it shows modern Britain and modern British people

I love that there’s nostalgia set next to an honest reflection of modern Britain. I love that there’s use of the word “nob” I accept that “c**t” as a term of affection/endearment would be a step too far for Americans. But bellend is a good compromise.

I love that there’s a London driving scene which involves turning straight into a traffic jam.

I love that there is London club is playing real music.

It’s refreshing having a non pantomime view of Britain.

My favourite thing in the base game or mod is playing in a different continent and 2 hrs in seeing what is happening at the other end of the hemisphere. California Fell to Barbarism!
