I recently downloaded the cline extension on GitHub. I signed up for a free Open router API key and connected deepseek v4 api key. How I still have yet to use it since copilot is more convenient. Today I got a email in ways to use cline my question is how do some of you use it and what task do you give it?
The new weekly and global rate limits are a massive pain in the neck but it's more of a pain to move from GitHub bc I rely on copilot heavily. Recently I've been coming up with ways to still get quality work done (that I obviously can't code myself) for me claude pro plan using sonnet for light planning, Cline with the free deepseek v4 flash API , and grok GitHub connection. It's a bit of back and forth but it saves on copilot usage until it's needed. Just curious what adjustments or changes have worked for you since the new changes?
Is it just me or is there an AI smear campaign on users of AI by other AI users? I read a post on x that someone was killing their credibility using AI to write their comments. And it made me think about the phrase don't shoot the messenger. Does it matter if AI writes a comment if the response is on topic and contributes to the conversation? 8 mean what's the difference between you talking to your model vs you talking mine 😒🤯. Now I understand some of it is technical jargon that a user should be able to say na this isn't it but outside of that why the cry for blood when you see a AI response or a vibe coded program? So my question is honestly what are the acceptable uses for AI and what should absolutely be done by a human?
