Why do the NYT Mini and Midi often use the same words on the same day?
I’ve noticed that more often than not, the same word will be used in both the Midi and the Mini. It’s not every single time, but for example today, both used >!INDY!< as a word, which I don’t think is a common crosswordese word like ODE or OREO. Is someone deliberately scheduling these puzzles so that they line up?
