I hate my veil
I really wanted a blusher veil and I had researched the best hair styles for it and I was set on having a high bun with the veil sitting on top of the head and pulled back over top of the bun. I was so excited. I spent so much time trying to find a lace trim that matched my dress. I wanted a veil that stoped right before the floor and measured ordered the length I wanted.
Ordered a veil from Etsy that checked all the boxes. Or so I thought. I was looking forward to the extra volume that a pushed back blusher gives. It turns out that volume is dependent on the type of tulle.
I’m devastated. The veil I ordered I think is made out of silk tulle so there is no extra volume and honestly it looks so bad on the top of my head
The blusher portion is too short and hits me at a weird spot on the chest.
It has this ugly extra piece of tulle to connect it to the hair comb and against my brown hair it sticks out like a sore thumb.
The only way I can get it to look good is if it goes under my bun on the back of my head. But then it makes the length too long and the blusher even shorter.
It’s just not what I wanted and I’m pretty sure there is no fixing it.
It wasn’t cheap and I’m too close to my wedding day to stress out about finding another one.
