Leaking Hand Held Shower - please help.
First up — I’m not a tradie nor am I a DIYer, I just try to do or fix what I can (I work in IT), so please be kind 😅
Our handheld shower head (which we use as the main shower head) is leaking where the hose connects to it.
When I unscrewed it, a black washer came out that wasn’t completely round — it had two wider sections — plus a small black O-ring.
I went to Bunnings, bought a Kinetic handheld shower washer replacement kit, replaced the washer, and reinserted the O-ring.
It’s still leaking.
I’ve attached photos showing:
- the original washer vs the replacement washer
- the hand shower itself
Did I buy the wrong washer type?
Could something else be causing the leak?
Or should I just give up and buy a whole new handheld shower set from Bunnings? I’d rather avoid it, but I need the shower working ASAP.
