Powerband Audio Bullshit
This is driving me crazy, and I am wondering if anyone else has dealt with this from Indian.
I am the second owner of a 23 Roadmaster Dark Horse. I decided to upgrade the speakers to the 100 watt option. Put the fairings in first. They didn’t sound any better so I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they had to order some flash card to update the software, which was like 120 bucks and a half hour shop time. That’s on top of the 500 bucks or so I shelled out for the new speakers.
So being the absolute sucker that I am, I have them do this mystical software upgrade that, for some reason, can’t be done at home. The speakers sound a little better. Not by a wide margin though. So my dumb ass decides I’ll do the back too.
I had a local shop (not an Indian Dealer) do these cause I didn’t want to take the fairing off and install the amp.
And somehow the entire audio system sounds WORSE now. I can have it turned up to 11 and it’s hard to hear at highway speeds, and it’s just generally all that loud or clear in general. I called the dealer and they are telling me I will need to buy ANOTHER flash and have it updated. I can’t believe that is necessary. Anyone have any advice here?
