After 3 days of trying, this is how I completed the 5k damage challenge on Tyrant.

Sorry for the low-quality video, it’s just the footage that the PS5 automatically records while playing. I think this strategy is not very luck-dependent. In about 2 out of 3 runs, I was able to set up good perks and weapons.

First, I managed to get almost 9k damage with 727.5% increased damage using a 3 star Requiem. The base damage of this weapon should be approximately 1230. That means if you reach around 500% increased damage, you should be safe with a good tier Requiem or Ghost Grudge.

Go for the forever 3 rank run using either Wolf Mode or Hot Fuzz. I personally prefer Wolf Mode because of the Scatter Shot perk. With Hot Fuzz, you need to be more precise with your shots, which usually means shooting less.

To minimize the RNG factor, take the longer route:
Lv1 Main Street → Lv5 Care Center → Lv9 Streets → Lv12 Super Tyrant.

Kill as many enemies as possible until you get a good perk setup, and open every crate you can until you find a high damage weapon.

Now for the most important part: the perks.

Choose only damage related perks. The only non-damage perk I recommend taking before finishing Care Center is the Mixed Blessing perk. After you get the weapons you need, replace it.

If all 3 perk choices are bad, always refresh them. Since you’re taking the long route and killing all zombies, points shouldn’t be a problem. In Streets, for example, I went to the Mortars area and the gas station to refine my perks.

The perks I consider essential are:

  • Unyielding Judge
  • Phantom Assassin
  • Bloodshot
  • Wounded Beast

With these 4 core perks, and the 2 gold perks upgraded, you can already reach around 490% increased damage while in critical health.

Other good perks are:

  • Scatter Shot
  • Streamlined
  • Sharpshooter
  • Axe the Axe
  • Proximity Boost

I personally don’t like Proximity Boost very much because you’ll already be in critical health and possibly without the axe. If you miss, your 40-minute run is basically over right there, and I know that feeling :´( .

The Bloodshot perk is fundamental for setting up the critical health state. In Streets, try to keep your health in the yellow zone. During the boss fight, it will then be easy to drop into red health and activate all the damage perks.

Hope these tips and the video help!
