Today I received a text about my Milwaukee tool that I sent in for service. I decided to contact milwaukee to get some more information, so I called the number in the text, first to find out if the information was true and also to find a timeline on the order.

Upon calling the number it turned out to be a 'free hearing aid' scam attempt for the elderly.

Naturally I next called Milwaukee from the number on the website and to my surprise the text was real, and the agent gave me the same information.

Somehow Milwaukee themselves have entered their own number wrong, listing 1-800 as opposed to 1-877 for their Canadian number

Please make sure the number you are calling is correct. The support agent I spoke to was made aware of the issue.
