Simple Shift that helped me find meaning

I've been struggling with finding meaning recently.

I think this affects lots of people, especially when struggling to find a career path.

But after doing some research and reflection, I found something interesting that helped me.

This might happen to you as well.

Not feeling as excited as before?

The reason isn't more achievement.

Whenever you achieve something, the excitement fades quickly.

A need for external validation and constant success is a clear signal that you value significance.

And there's always someone who achieves more and has more.

But there's a way to get meaning in another way. More stable.

Two things create lasting meaning:

  1. Being of service to others

Focus on contribution. That's one of the 6 human needs.

The 6 human needs:
• Certainty
• Variety
• Significance
• Connection
• Contribution
• Growth

Think about how you can add value to:
• Your team members
• Your partner
• Your friends
• Your family

  1. Growing as a person

When you focus on being better today than you were yesterday, you feel a sense of meaning.

You're going in the right direction.

You don't need massive wins. Just consistent growth.

Focus on Growth and Contribution.

Suddenly, your life gets more meaning. Immediately.
