Advice Needed Regarding University !!!
"Hi everyone,
I am an international student living in Saudi Arabia, and I just received my conditional acceptance letter for Mechanical Engineering (BSc) at Özyeğin University for Fall 2026-2027.
Before I finalize everything, I would love to get some quick, honest feedback from current students or alumni:
Workload & Professors: How tough is the Mechanical Engineering curriculum? Are the professors supportive, or are the exams and grading curves brutally difficult?
Campus Vibe: Since the campus is out in Çekmeköy, do you feel isolated living there? How easy/expensive is it to travel to central areas like Kadıköy or the European side for weekends?
Dorms & Rent: How are the on-campus dorms? If you live off-campus in the area, what is the average rent right now?
Future Prospects: How good are the university's industry connections for internships, and does the degree carry good weight if I want to work in the Gulf (KSA) or Europe later?
