I am so confused rn!!!

Hi everyone,

I'm a Pakistani student who has been admitted to Bilkent University in Türkiye and I'm preparing my student visa application through the Turkish Visa Application Centre in Islamabad.

I completed Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels (not a Pakistani board). The visa checklist mentions that educational documents should be MOFA attested, but I'm confused about how this applies to Cambridge qualifications.

My questions are:

  1. Can the original Cambridge IGCSE and A Level certificates be MOFA attested directly?
  2. Do I first need to obtain an IBCC equivalence certificate and then get the IBCC equivalence MOFA attested?
  3. Or are the original Cambridge certificates sufficient for the Turkish student visa?

If anyone from Pakistan has recently applied for a Turkish student visa with Cambridge qualifications, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience and what documents the visa centre actually accepted.

English test for universities

Hello, I've applied to the turkish scholarship and I was accepted for the interview. I have done the IELTS and gotten an 8 but I later learned that turkish universities don't take IELTS and prefer TOEFL, now when I did the interview it wasn't mentioned to me.
If I get accepted by a university that has an english program, will I be able to go and do an english test for them rather than having to the the TOEFL? Since the results will be out in July as the person who interviewed me said

Türkiye Scholarships: English-only preferences, but can I still be assigned to a Turkish program? Is TÖMER mandatory with a TOEFL?

Hi everyone,
I’m applying for a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations through Türkiye Scholarships.
All of my university preferences are 100% English-taught. I didn’t select any Turkish-medium programs.
However, I signed the declaration stating that if there are quota limitations or other placement constraints, Türkiye Scholarships may assign me to a university outside of my preferences.
I have two questions:
Has anyone been assigned to a Turkish-medium program even though all of their preferences were 100% English-taught?
If I have a TOEFL score of around 110 and I’m admitted to an English-taught program, would I still be required to complete the one-year Turkish language preparation (TÖMER), or is it waived in that situation?
I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have been through the scholarship process. Thanks in advance!

Interview Invites for GCC Applicants (Oman). Has Anyone Heard Back Yet?

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

It's already the end of June, and I still haven't received an interview invitation for Türkiye Bursları. I'm applying from Oman, and I also haven't seen or heard of anyone from the GCC receiving an interview invite yet.

Last week, I called the Turkish Embassy in Oman, and they told me they haven't received any updates from YTB either.

I'm starting to wonder: are interview invitations for GCC applicants still being sent out, or is there a chance they won't be conducting interviews in the GCC this year?

Has anyone from Oman or any other GCC country received an interview invitation yet? If not, does anyone know how long the interview phase usually continues?

Any information or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Help me out. What to do?

Hi there!

I am from Bangladesh, and I had my interview for Turkiye Burslari on 8 June. The committee asked me to send them the TOEFL score by email before July.

I sent them, the Turkiye Burslari Bangladesh Office, my TOEFL score on 25 June, just after receiving it. However, I haven't received any reply yet. Last time, when I sent them an email, I received a response within 24 hours. Now, even after sending them a follow-up, I haven't received any response yet.

Does anyone know what to do atp? I have updated the portal already. Should I send the mail to the central committee? Cz it's pretty urgent tbh as time is running out. Can anyone with similar experience help me out?

Thank you!

Is it over?

I am from Colombia.

I've applied this year, and I am aware that around 2-3 weeks ago some applicants from my country received interview emails. June isn't over yet, but does this mean that, most likely, am I not going to receive one and I will be rejected?

Thank you very much, sorry if it is an obvious question.

How important is the SAT for turkey scholarship?
im planning to apply next year. What things i should focus on that would improve my chances of getting selected? Will a good SAT score help? (I haven't taken the SAT yet).

Koc University Video Interview

What to expect there? I applied there separately through their portal, and now they asked me for it. Koc mentioned it's a pre-recorded video interview where it will randomly generate a question. However, can anyone tell me what the questions are about and how much time is given?

Thank you!

Application status change????

When I was invited for the interview, the application portal changed to something different, and now that I've given my interview, it has changed back to Awaiting evaluation. Does this mean I was rejected? God, it's so stressful.
