Hi guys, I'm an international student from a small city in Pakistan. I was wondering if anyone can chance me for the turkiye burslari.

For academics, I've gotten 8Astars and 1A in olevels, 3a and 1b in aslevel, 3Astars and 1A predicted in A2. I've been the top-ranked student in my class throughout. I'm planning to give my SAT in December, but I don't think I'll give toefl before I get selected for the interview as it is quite expensive.

On the extracurricular side, I know I don't have a huge list, mostly because there aren't many opportunities where I'm from. But here's what I have done:

I was Head Boy of my school during O-Levels, and during that time I led the first-ever charity drive our school had ever done and started my schools first ever olymipiad like event.I was also named Debater of the Year out of 50+ students and I've been winning top positions in school and college debates every year.

I've also completed 80+ hours of community service through 2-3 different internships, and I got LORs from them. And for the last 3 years, I've been running a small home-based business with my sister which is still profitable. In olevels, I was captain of my house's cricket team.That's pretty much it. I worry my ECs are weak compared to other applicants, but I've tried to make the most of what was available to me. Anyone's help and suggestions would really be appreciated, thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm an international applicant from Pakistan and was thinking about applying to nyuad. My academic results are as follows:

Olevels: 8A*1A

AS levels: 3a1b

A2 predicted: 3A*1A

SAT: will give in December

So I'm thinking to apply to nyuad ed1, so I'll be opting test optional. Even though my grades are decent, I lack a lot in extracurriculars. For example I've only got 80+ community service hours, through 2-3 internships where I also got LORs. Ive been the headboy of my olevels school, where I also lead the first ever charity drive at my school, I've also been the debater of the Year among 50+ other students of my school with top positions in school/college debates every year. I have been and still am the student with the highest rank in my class. I also started a home based business with my sister 3 years ago, which is still running and is profitable.

Apart from this, I have literally nothing else as I belong to a rather small city where we have lesser opportunities and also I don't think I'd be able to improve my ecs now cz ED deadline is very close.

I want to know that is applying ed1 test optional okay? Or should I apply RD with SAT? And is there any possibility at all of getting into nyuad with these stats, how should I work on my essays. Can someone plz help!!

Hey guys, so I didn't really know where to post this exact post so thought to do it here. The thing is I wanted to ask is going to a uni in Hong Kong specifically PolyU possible while being from a modest background?

For context, I have 8A*1A in olevels. And 3As in aslevel, so I'll have 3A* predicted. I don't have many extracurriculars except for a few community service internships and school headboy, debating awards etc.

Firstly ik, it'll be very difficult getting into polyu with my stats, but if I hypothetically get in, I've heard that they do give full tuition scholarship on 3A*. I wanted to ask if anyone can guide me, that should I keep PolyU as an option? Would I be able to live there( rent food etc)

Our monthly family income is less than 200k and we are a family of 5. No assets whatsoever.

My first priority is still LUMS but I don't think I'll get a lot of financial aid here and its fees is a lot for us to pay. Any help or guidance in this matter is appreciated, if you guys can introduce me to any better pathways, I'd really be grateful. Thanks.

Hi everyone so today I got my rejection for NOP SCS and a few weeks ago I got it for RISE internship. Even after 8A*1A in olevels I feel like I've achieved nothing. For Rise, I saw only ppl with 10+A* getting accepted for the internship alongside countless previous experiences. What does one do who is not financially strong enough to appear for extra subjects and does not have those opportunities in their city??

Similarly, why are olevels students considered too rich for NOP?? I've never seen an olevels student getting selected for it. Now my question is where does the middle class end up? Ik I'm not going to get any merit scholarship because I Don't have those extra curricular, nor I would be getting 100% financial aid , so the question where do the middle class students go. 😔

Assalamualaikum everyone, I have just completed my aslevels, and I had applied to lums nop scs. 2 days ago, they emailed me regarding some missing documents, that I submitted them by emailing them back yesterday. However, today they called my father and told him that they haven't received the documents, but we informed them that we have sent the stuff. But then they hung up the call and have not called back since. I've now sent the documents again but the deadline has passed. What should I do now, because from my side, I thought that I've sent by documents to the right email at the right time.

Also can you plz tell if there's a chance of me getting selected for nop scs as an alevels student. Thank you everyone.
