how to deal with alt right parents
I’m not talking MAGA. I’m talking alt right, like Trump isn’t even conservative enough for them kind of people. Like extremely racist, Islamophobic, homophobic, VERY transphobic, believing that communism is the “truest evil” type of people. I am an incoming college student, but I am commuting from home so I have to deal with these people for probably a good year and a half until I transfer colleges. I genuinely worry for my own safety, as I am a queer, non-religious communist who goes VERY against everything these people say. It is to a point where we can’t even have normal conversations anymore, and they keep getting more extreme even. They already have been emotionally abusive my whole life but I genuinely find myself preparing for the worst now. I just had a conversation with them where my mom told me all Muslims need to be wiped out.
I am up very late at night honestly horrified with like nobody to speak to about this to so Reddit please enlighten me
