This is an unbeliavable find. It's the first ever documented specimen for bulgaria, and considering a photo of a melanistic v.ammodytes can't be found on the internet i'd say worldwide.
All credits go to Vlado Rusev,a bulgarian herpetologist and 'snake rescuer'
Got this art deco glass vanity set from a local charity shop this morning. Wondered if any of it could be uranium glass and found just the one piece glows!
The design matches the rest perfectly though so I suspect maybe it was purchased at a different time to the rest of the set and happened to have the same glass pattern / mould. Pretty cool!
I believe that he is leucistic. whatever he is, I love him.
Spotted something out the corner of my eye and found this lil fledgling albino blackbird hopping around my garden.
Ain't nature wonderful 🤍
Edit: Apologies for the blur, the photo was taken through glass, and using the best zoom my phone could manage 🤭🤷🏼♀️🤫
visited a wildlife rehab center in Errington, Vancouver island (British Columbia) and met Opal!! she’s unable to survive in the wild because her genetic defect predisposes her to a lot of serious health risks so she’s a permanent resident here at the center. There was so many more other critters. If I didn’t have to catch a ferry, I would’ve spent hours here!!!! she was very chatty and as you can hear, there were a ton of other raven bros in other parts of the facility.
I spotted this beauty while walking around my neighborhood in Saint Paul, MN. Earlier in the day I went birding and didn’t have much luck. I was surprised to see this fella just roaming around the busy city!
not to mention the triangle where the X is supposed to be doesn’t even press down all the way.
I don't know how this happened, or that it was possible.
This white elk was caught on a trail cam in Montana
Same soil, same water. Anyone know why this might happen? Seems perfectly healthy and growing strong.
