Had to submit a grade dispute

Hello all, has anyone here had to submit a grade dispute before? For my first week discussion, the rubric does not say anything to indicate I needed to reply to other classmates and it also has “Meet Expectations” and not exceeds. I did not reply to other classmates because it says we are only required to contribute once and I got points taken off. I emailed my professor, who wasn’t much help and just said I am required to reply to other classmates with the attached rubric (which still doesn’t say I’m required to do that). I attached my advisor who told me she read it the same as me and was bringing it to the deans to get further clarity. They suggested I submit a grade dispute to get a higher level review. It does feel a little ridiculous to do so as I did not get a bad grade on the discussion (95%) so I have reiterated I understand if I’m wrong, but the rubric may need to be changed to fit the requirements.
