Does this temp look problematic?

Tooth #20 has a temp on it. Been having pain ever since - 8 days total. Was a deep cavity but doc decided against a RCT. A diff dentist was in the office about 3 days ago who didn’t work on this originally and filed it down and got some cement out that was between teeth. Still having pain though. Taking pain meds around the clock but lowest dose is covering the pain. Seeing dentist Monday. What is going on 🤷🏻‍♀️ could the big hole in the temp be an issue? It had a smaller one originally from the cavity.

Could this cause pain?

Could the cement where the temp meets the gums be the source of constant pain for the past week? I had the temp lowered and some of the cement was removed but not this part. Two days after that still constant pain. Taking pain killers through the weekend. (No RC was done/was a deep cavity though)

This pain seems unnecessary

Had a deep cavity filled on #20. Close to root. No RC. Temp put on #20 1 week ago. Noticed pain after numbing wore off. Consistent pain. Had bite lowered & some cement removed 2 days ago. Still having pain to the point of needing meds. Dentist out of office all weekend. What is going on?? What should I do?

Do I need a root canal?

Had a deep cavity in #20. Dentist said he sees bruising in my gums essentially from a lot of clinching. He determined there was enough tooth left to NOT to go ahead with the root canal. Still deep cavity close to root none the less.

Bite was high after and assistant didn’t check the temp for any left over cement. Couldn’t floss and was trying to get it out myself. No pain the first few days. Then on day three after cavity was filled, pain began. Went in to have temp lowered and most of the cement out/still some there and it’s a tight fit.

I’m able to curb the pain with Motrin 200mg but have to use it around the clock every 10 hours day or night. Been on Motrin for 5 days now. Had the tooth lowered yesterday.

Tooth #19 had a crown (NO root canal) on it about 4 to 5 years ago. I’ve had pain between 19 & 20 on and off ever since I had the crown placed. Told docs many times but they never saw an issue with it. I discovered the cavity on #20 on my own and went in to have it fixed.
