Sleepless nights and this!!?
Wasn’t sleepy so scrolled through a few reels and instagram made sure sleep eludes me for the rest of the night.
Honestly, it astounds me with the level of intensity words can hold.

Met the cutest orange cat today.
My first thought? “Damn… his eyes.”
Amazing. Out of the 8 billion people on this planet, my brain looked at a random cat and said ‘Yep, that’s him.’
He loved cats immensely. I loved him a little more.
The man cheated, moved away, and somehow still has me out here getting emotionally ambushed by neighborhood felines. At this point I don’t need therapy, I need my brain to uninstall whatever update keeps turning ordinary things into “core memory unlocked.”
Anyway, 10/10 cat. Zero complaints about him.
The human,though? Wouldn’t recommend.
Any peeps preparing seriously for UPSC or State PCS?
About me - 2027 will be my first UPSC attempt. Optional: Sociology.
I’ve completed my basic coverage once and am now focusing on content enrichment, answer writing, and revision.
I’ve been preparing mostly on my own, which can get a bit isolating at times. I’m not looking for large study groups or accountability circles; just 1–2 serious aspirants to connect with.
The idea is to discuss content, exchange notes, clarify doubts, share resources, and streamline preparation together.
Preferably:
• First or second attempt aspirants
• Consistent and serious about preparation
• Open to constructive discussions rather than endless strategy talks
Feel free to DM or comment if this resonates with you.
22F, graduated last year with a Bachelor’s in Political Science.
I’m currently preparing for State PCS and other government exams but the uncertainty and competition honestly worry me. While I’m committed to my preparation, I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket and would like to build some employable skills alongside it.
The problem is that I’m from a completely non-tech background and have no idea where to start. There are so many options being discussed online- data analytics, AI, digital marketing, UI/UX, automation, content writing, etc.—that I’m feeling overwhelmed.
I’m looking for skills that:
• Are currently in demand in the job market
• Can be learned within 2–3 months to a reasonable level
• Don’t require a technical degree or coding background
• Can lead to remote work, freelancing, internships, or entry-level jobs
• Can provide at least some financial independence while I continue preparing for exams
• Require around 3–4 hours of study/practice per day
If you were in my position today, what skill would you focus on and why? Also, what would be the most realistic path to earning within the next few months?
I’d really appreciate advice from people who have actually switched careers, freelanced, or landed jobs through self-learning.
Thanks in advance!
