Does anyone else get irrationally distracted by bad form in the studio? 😭

I’m doing a Rad strength class that was recorded live, and I am STRUGGLING. Not because of the workout, but because one of the people directly next to him (and therefore in frame basically the entire class) has terrible form and cannot follow the movements…

And listen, I am not expecting random Peloton members to have instructor-level form. I certainly do not. But if you’re going to put people front and center in a strength class, I feel like there has to be some screening? Or maybe a quick preview of the movements before filming?

At one point, Rad cued everyone to make sure their feet were staggered during a particular movement, and I swear I could practically hear someone in the production room yelling into his ear to help her.

I know the obvious answer is “stop looking at her,” but SHE IS RIGHT THERE. My eyes keep getting drawn to it. And when I’m trying to follow along with a strength workout, having someone prominently on screen doing a completely different interpretation of the exercise is genuinely distracting.

As we know, this sometimes happens in live-audience classes, and I always enjoy the class less because of it. I generally love having members in the studio (for the fun energy), but I wish Peloton were a little more intentional about who gets placed immediately around the instructor.

Am I being an asshole here, or does this drive anyone else nuts too? 😂
