Ideas for themes

I know the music has gone downhill, but there are still opportunities for fun class ideas.

A New Zealand radio station has been popping into my FYP for segments on the best nananana in a song, the best key change, the best intro.

The instructors have great themes on bigger topics, but would love to see a straight out silly approach. If they could I would whole heartedly endorse a random best key change class or nananana version.

What ideas for random class themes do you have?

Barbell In Strength Class?!

Was scrolling through new strength classes and noticed in Robin’s recent glutes and legs strength she includes barbell hip thrust as an exercise?! I have only ever seen barbell exercises on strength +! Is this new?

Any all access members?

I’m just in the process of buying a peleton and they’ve asked if I have someone to use as a referral as I’ll get a discount and they’ll get a free months membership if they’re an active all access member. So if anyone is can you message me your name and email? Thank you 🙌🏼

Yoga sculpt

Sooooo I’ve been on holidays and I brought my 3lb weights, ankle weights and mat. Normally I lift and do cardio, but this week I’ve been doing the Sculpt 30s, barre, Pilates and yoga sculpt.

Yoga sculpt is hands down superior. Greta and Johanna do a fantastic job. Make us pulse for longer periods. No more slow 2 counts of 8 then break. I don’t want breaks. Make it chaotic. I want to burn.

I know this is old news and discussed a lot, but sculpt 30 can be so good if they were more of a Yoga sculpt, just scrap the yoga lol.

Fantastic Service

We have an OG Treadmill, what would now be considered a Tread+ and it suddenly gave a “Tread is not communicating” message-screen worked, but tread didn’t. Readers, I was so sad. I’ve run on my boy nearly everyday for 7 years.

Via the Peloton Support chat, I was able to schedule an appointment less than a week later. Matt arrived today and fixed it within the hour. The culprit? My sweat had accumulated in the STOP button and corroded the wires. How embarrassing.

Anyway, shoutout to Matt, who was fantastic and services from Michigan to Montana!

Anyone know of plans for more Run + Flow classes?

I absolutely love these classes of Mariana’s. I know it was originally designed as a 4 class series. I am hoping for more!

Does anyone else get irrationally distracted by bad form in the studio? 😭

I’m doing a Rad strength class that was recorded live, and I am STRUGGLING. Not because of the workout, but because one of the people directly next to him (and therefore in frame basically the entire class) has terrible form and cannot follow the movements…

And listen, I am not expecting random Peloton members to have instructor-level form. I certainly do not. But if you’re going to put people front and center in a strength class, I feel like there has to be some screening? Or maybe a quick preview of the movements before filming?

At one point, Rad cued everyone to make sure their feet were staggered during a particular movement, and I swear I could practically hear someone in the production room yelling into his ear to help her.

I know the obvious answer is “stop looking at her,” but SHE IS RIGHT THERE. My eyes keep getting drawn to it. And when I’m trying to follow along with a strength workout, having someone prominently on screen doing a completely different interpretation of the exercise is genuinely distracting.

As we know, this sometimes happens in live-audience classes, and I always enjoy the class less because of it. I generally love having members in the studio (for the fun energy), but I wish Peloton were a little more intentional about who gets placed immediately around the instructor.

Am I being an asshole here, or does this drive anyone else nuts too? 😂

What is the most common length of ride?

How long are y’all riding each day? I have been doing 20 to 30 min cycling rides but trying to up it to 45 mins. What is a common or average length of time spent on the bike each day?

Loop Resistance Band Classes

I could have sworn there were loop resistance band classes on peloton but every search I make comes up empty. I can only find the long/non-looped resistance bands. I've seen on many of the trainers personal instagram accounts them recommending loop bands and showing different exercises but none on the actual platform that I can find. Anyone have any luck finding some?

Meditations for Chemo

My mom is currently going through chemo and I’m wondering if anyone has any recs for good meditations on the platform for her to listen to while she is in treatments. I think leaning toward optimism without being annoying would be helpful. I don’t use that part of the app much (but should!) and would appreciate any recommendations. 💜💜💜💜

Hiking prep

Hello! I am going on a trip where I anticipate doing some hikes (nothing crazy) and I want to start working more intentionally on my endurance and strength. Leaving in ~8 weeks so I know I won’t suddenly be a buff hiker but I do want to get back into a good routine so I feel strong!

What kinds of ride and strength classes would you take to start amping up your strength and endurance? I know Power Zone will come up which I’m open to trying but would love some other alternatives, too!

Currently thinking of 3 rides weekly, 2 glute & leg sessions, 2 arms & shoulders, core with every workout, alongside my regular dog walks. What would you add or adjust?

Happy Monday!!! This class definitely kicked my John hind parts! It should also be under advanced because nothing about this entire workout is intermediate lol Great push 💪🏾

Road to Half Marathon Question

Hey Everyone,

I have a question if this program is worth it for me. First off I am very motivated by setting goals and accomplishing them through a program or classes. However, I am able to run 10ks in under an hour and 5ks in under 25 minutes. Therefore, ,I decided I would like to try and conquer a half marathon. What better way to train than a program through peloton? Well today I did the first 20 minute run class and it seemed like it was not enough. Is this program worth it for where I am at or should I continue just taking random 30,45, and 60 minute classes to train?

New Watch App

No one is talking about this!! You can now start and track workouts from the watch app. Walks & runs now show, distance, pace, speed, and time elapsed in addition to your heart rate.

This is a huge win for peloton runners & the community!

Anyone try Tunde’s New Split?

I know it’s only been out for a few days, but has anyone started Tunde’s new Strength + Bike split?

I am a huge fan of Bike Bootcamps but these class plans look…intimidating.
