If you have hip issues and/or want to warm up your glutes

I cannot recommend this class enough. I probably do it 3-4 times per week. It's built into the Road to Recovery ACL program, but it has helped my hip immensely. I use it as a warm up for hiking classes or G&L classes.

I cannot stand Hertz

All I wanted to do was call the local location to see if I could pick up my rental 1-hour early.

Instead, the AI bot was completely useless, couldn't find my reservation, couldn't connect me to a person, etc.

I called customer service - had to use another useless bot. Had to wait on hold forever, etc.

Companies that will be successful in the future will learn to meet their customers based on their needs. I'm not using a bot for a quick question that it can't answer. All I wanted was to speak to a human briefly.

I'm never renting from Hertz again. I learned my lesson last time in Kauai where they had literally the worst customer service and the longest wait; even as a Gold member.

Walks vs Hikes

If you are in a 20 min walking class - and you have two different segments at an 8% incline for 8 minutes - it's a hike. Why can't peloton make an actual structure around walking vs hiking?

Walks should only be able to go to 5-6%. Hikes can go higher. It's not that hard.

If I wanted to hike, I would have taken a hiking class. Rant over. :)

RK 3 Day Split + Feedback

I've been taking a lot of RK classes lately. I completed her original HiLit program and I love her Express split. 2 years ago, when the 3 day split came out - I didn't love it. I didn't think the lower body day was very challenging.

Now that I've been taking more of her classes, I knew how to pick weights better this time. That lower body class is HARD.

It goes to show that the more you understand yourself, your weight selection for each exercise, and the instructor's cueing (by repeating/taking a lot of classes from one instructor), you can make a class that you didn't like or think was very good, into one that you do.

My weights really vary if I'm taking an Adrian, RK, Jess Sims, Katie class. This has really helped me make progress once I understood that instead of always grabbing the same.

Push / Pull / Isolation Descriptions

If I look on the app for RK's recent Upper body class (20 min) it shows "upper push" "upper pull" "isolation (arms)", but when I look on the web, I don't see it.

I also don't see where you can search for it, but it would be so useful! To be able to filter for push/pull classes would be amazing! I hope they are going that direction.

It's listed right below Class Plan.

Jess Sims FB class says core, upper pull, and power.

Hiking Inclines

I'm working on the HiLit program and I've definitely done some hiking classes previously on the tread. RK was saying to make sure to keep your feet under you and shorten your stride as the tread incline increases.

As a short person (5'3), I'm finding that my form isn't great when I go to 12 or 15% and have to power walk. I either have to walk slower or lower the incline. Is this a short-person problem? Has anyone improved their hiking so they can power walk at the higher inclines?

Latest Standing Core

To me, the standing core classes are hit or miss. I prefer when they work on balance. The latest one is actually really fun. It almost feels like a strength warm up or low impact cardio class. Would definitely recommend - went by fast.
