This is my first Thinkpad and I love it. Got it for around $60 which isn't that bad since these are really expensive where I live. I'm dual booting Mint and Windows XP with a custom iso called XPto2000. I use it mostly for old games and some light work on ms word (even though it's old, it still works fine for simple documents, and Clippy gives me company).

It still is far from perfect, the top lid has some scratches in the rubber coat and doesn't look good, I'll probably buy a skin for it. And the bios is locked, which there isn't much i can do about because I don't want to accidentally break it.

Anyways, this has been my experience so far. If you have any game recommendations i'd like to hear it!
