Water bug?? Helppp
I woke up at 3am to crinkling sounds under my bed. I turn the lights on and find a hugeeee cockroach crawling around down there. I freaked out and spent an hour looking for it and eventually it crawled up on top of my bed as seen in the picture. I was able to drown it in Raid and stomp on it to kill it, but now I'm so scared and paranoid that there's more in my apartment or that more can come in. Is this likely just one that crawled in???
I live in Orange County, California and in a new built complex on the 4th floor. I never have had a cockroach in my apartment, only the occasional silverfish. And it's not like the weather here is suddenly about to rain or get hot in this week so why did this come into my apartment. I have seen a roach of similar size outside my apartment down on the first floor so I guess they are around here, but I didn't think it would come all the way into mine. My drains like my bathroom and sink are also far away from my bed so did it come through the air vent or...?
