Day 1 of Sharing my Jungian Daydreams with strangers
I just had a daydream where I played the part of Jesus.
I was walking in the clouds with my anima. She was calling me, "My Lord" and wielding a staff. At my command she destroyed the monsters of darkness surrounding the heavenly city, creating a pathway through the darkness.
When I arrived at the gates, there were people waiting in that golden, square city with palm leaves bowing up and down. I refused to enter until I was kneeling, because my Lord entered into the city on a donkey. My anima thought that was silly and unnecessary (perhaps because of the symbolism) but respected the commitment. When I walked through the people bowing with palm leaves, they were chanting in an excited monotone voice,
"Hosanna, Hosanna to the highest! Blessed me the name of the Lord, our God and our Redeemer."
When I finished kneeling in a crawling motion, I stood up to face the religious leaders in long robes standing at the end.
"What have you done?!" They said. "What is this mage you have with you?" She subtly tensed when they said so, ready to fight. I looked at the leaders and told them how they had robbed and deceived the people and had no right to criticize them as they had done. Because I had been with them and know they are made in the image of God. I said I would have to die a death at the hand of the priests and leaders in authority, at the hands of the pagans. That as my Lord had suffered, so I would suffer and rise again the third day. That as I show myself submissive to him I would surely be crucified upside down, and they would do it at my request.
I said that in the same way a rock falls into the ocean and comes up again, so too would I go down into the sea and return up again. Then the speech ended with, "Blessed be the name of the Lord, amen."
Note: The religious leaders had the imagery of the unconscious shadow. At one point the head religious leader extended dark whisps so he could rise up and lean forward to accuse me. I continued my talk nonetheless, with the light still present.
