GiantX has benched Lot, replaces him with Oscarinin

Is there any interest at all from Fnatic management and fans to pick up Lot as a replacement for Empyros? The former is probably better than the latter, but is not anyone's idea of a high-end top laner in the region either.

Also, Noah is also another player that GX has decided to bench. Have to wonder if this can open the door for Fnatic to sneak into playoffs.

I have a dumb hypocritical: C9 calls to inquire about Upset or Razork

In no way am I suggesting that this is gonna happen or should happen, but this could be an interesting question as a window to reflect on Fnatic's short term and long term outlook.

I'll get out the key reasons why a move like this is not happening. There are better players and options for Cloud 9 to consider if that team wants to switch up its roster. More notably, both Upset and Razork are also seen as chokers too after getting really close to winning it all in Europe only to fall short numerous times. Both players, if they are ever on C9's radar at all, are Plan F's at best.

But after watching that NA team wash out by dropping their last 6 games in playoffs, I couldn't help but sense that Fnatic's two best players are exactly the types of players that could have been useful. At its nadir C9 feels like a team of role players that do not have the upside or ceiling to compete with actual star talents higher on the table. Whatever faults Upset and Razork have, they are good enough relative to the LCS baseline and their highs can match all but a handful of the region's best players.

I'm more interested in the Fnatic side of the equation. The team is on the cusp of the playoffs and could even make it if the incoming top laner can be a notable improvement. But reaching the Worlds spot feels like a pipe dream, so there's a case to put the best players on the block to get something out of them - especially if there has been recent talk of finances and the inability to make roster moves due to a lack of money. This is also a chance to split up two players who aren't the best fit for each other and do more to tailor the roster around whoever is still around if this isn't going to be a rebuild but rather a re-tooling.

As for Upset and Razork, it would sting to be put in a lesser region. But I think they're closer to making Worlds with C9 than it they stayed on this team for this season. And keep in mind that Worlds is that team's actual goal, not winning the LCS. Not as long as Inspired is running that region.

PS: I don't think C9 will even consider a trade involving their top laner Thanatos. He's arguably the most untouchable player on that roster.

I also don't know how large the buyouts are for Upset and Razork and whether they could help to reshape Fnatic's roster.
