It's about Wei Wuxian being accused of assaulting a woman at the banquet after the hunt. The night before, he was drunk, and he was escorted back to his room by Lan Wangji. After he was accused, he told Jiang Cheng he had a plan. At this point, the wen are safe in cloud recesses. He travels there to see if Wen Ning will pretend to be his lover. Wen Qing tells him it won't work and that he needs to be at the bottom. Lan Wangji offers to pretend to be his lover, and they travel back to Jinlintai for the trial.
