I’m an incoming freshman and i saw online that it says move in day is August 19-21, so what day should i book my flight for (I’m from northeast)??? I also want to rush, so do i have to be there earlier for that? Is move in just a one day thing?

I’m a first year student from east coast going to sdsu this fall. I booked my orientation for a date in July, which is only one day. With the cost of the plane ticket and the hotel, i think it’s ridiculous to pay that much for one single day of orientation. Any tips? Cheap hotels?
Also, do most parents go too?
