This pest covered cactus is right out of a horror movie.

I feel sorry for the plant and I’m sorry for posting this, it practically makes my skin crawl. Does anyone know what pest or disease this is?? It’s crazy thick on this one plant while the ones around it are only sparsely covered.

Any idea what species this practically neon orange lithops is? Does it grow into a clump with many heads?

I would like a pot full of these, anyone know if it will eventually clump?

PSA: Throw away all of your receipts before they turn to plastic dust. A bag of 15+ year old receipts ripped open and spilled all over my carpet releasing plastic waste.

This bag has receipts that are at least 15 years old. Many receipts I unfold have this green and opaque soft debris that flies everywhere. I did a little research and learned that receipts use thermal paper which has the highest concentration of BPA of basically anything and that is what that debris is! I didn't think much beforehand, so there I was just going through everything with no gloves or mask and I can't help but think of all of the BPA I absorbed in the 2 hours it took me to go through everything.

In this Home Depot shopping bag full of receipts there was like a cup of this 'plastic receipt debris' that fell into my carpet, and my OCD is making me wonder if vacuuming it even picked all that BPA laden waste up or if it's just always going to be in the air and carpet .

Sighs** I hate plastic and now I'm paranoid my bedroom just turned into a toxic wasteland.

neighbor uses this and his oranges are extremely plentiful. I stopped using osmocote after seeing the plastic balls everywhere, and I'm wondering if this has any plastics in it as well?

Eventually it'll grow in nicely with TLC, but I would love to hear guesses as to what variety it could be.
