Hi, I'm already looking ahead to 2027 :) It will be me, my wife and our 3 daughters, who'd be 10, 14, 16 and we'd be camping with a travel trailer.

To throw a wrench into planning, my 14 year old will be trying out for high school soccer and they have summer conditioning. I can check with the coach, but I think our best bet to do our vacation early summer / early June. I know that isn't optimal for road closures and everything being open.

However, I should also note that my oldest daughter has austism/ADHD, and while she can do a lot, she is going to be the limiting factor on hiking - max probably 5-6 miles depending on elevation. So we just can't do the long, all-day hikes.

Just curious if we should still consider Glacier OR should we opt instead for somewhere else (maybe Bryce/Zion/Grand Canyon as we did Arches/Canyonlands/Rocky Mtn last summer). Thanks!

Hi, I'll be in Atlanta this weekend with my 3 daughters, staying in Buckhead at the SpringHill Suites. We'll be tied up all day Sunday, but we'll get in to Buckhead Saturday about 4pm.

We are right across the street from Mister O1 pizza, which looks good. I'm sure that they would enjoy checking out the Lenox mall, Pastella there looks good too.

Just curious what people would recommend with 3 daughters ages 9, 13, 15 on a Saturday night. It doesn't technically have to be Buckhead if it is nearby, we could swing by before going to the hotel. Thanks!

Hi, I visited New Orleans with my wife a few years ago for Carnival a couple of weekends before Mardi Gras - I love it and it was so much fun! I was thinking about bringing the family after Christmas for a week and just curious if there is anything special I should consider. My daughters are ages 15, 13, 9 and here were some of the things on my list:

1. Sugar Bowl Parade - I'm assuming this would have the music/krewes like Carnival?

2. Preservation Hall - I bought tickets last time, but I accidentally booked them during the super bowl and my team (Cincinnati) made the game that year so we didn't go :(

3. The Zoo/Aquarium/Insectarium combo ticket seems reasonable

4. Whitney Plantation - I did this last time and it was really interesting and well done

5. Barataria Preserve - visit to the swamp

6. WW2 Museum - get some history outside of school

7. Walking around the French Quarter / Jackson Square

8. Would the SS Natchez river tour be good for kids/families?

Is there anything that would be fun / memorable for the kids that we shouldn't miss? The kids would probably have fun on an airboat tour, but I know that they wouldn't see gators in the winter, so not sure if it would still be worth doing? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out if the high fee cards like AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant or AMEX Delta Reserve (both with a $650 annual fee) are worth it for me. I currently have the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Premier ($85 fee), Amex Marriott Business ($125 fee), Chase Sapphire Preferred ($95 fee), and Amex Delta Platinum ($350 fee).

The Marriott cards are no-brainer as the fee is easily offset by the annual free night award. The Sapphire points multiplier is probably the best of the bunch. Amex Delta is nice for free bags - I fly some for work but most of the categories are only 1x and we only end up using the companion ticket once every two years recently and not every year.

However, we put all expenses on our cards, which ends up being around $60k per year - I just feel like there is probably a better option at that spending level than just the low fee Sapphire and Amex Delta cards. Also, its not going to be an issue to hit the spending for the intro points offers.
